theCitizen was formed around the idea that Rick Steves is a hump. Who is theCitizen: The citizen is you, me, and that gypsy you see on the sidewalk playing the accordion for cash. The citizen was conceived by the freedom-lovin' punks of the trekshare posse. How do I write for theCitizen: If you are a talented writer with local knowledge of a city's darker side, we would like to hear from you. We are currently paying $40 per guide. We pay more if you are famous. Most accepted guides are written by professional or freelance writers. TrekShare LLC owns exclusive copyright to all guides we purchase.
